PROGRAMMING COURSES AT SHSS

SHSS offers Programming 11 and Programming 12 courses to students in Grades 10 to 12.

The Programming 11 course is an introduction course to coding techniques using JavaScript. By the end of the course students have an understanding of variables, conditionals, loops and functions. The students also explore HTML and Canvas, and get to create final projects using all of their coding skills.

The Programming 12 course is more student driven and allows them to further develop thier skills in JavaScript and HTML. The students can also select a coding language that they are interested in such as Java or Python and work on more complex projects. Recently students have shown an interest in Unity and the development of 3D games.
